importantInformation Camping fees are refundable if cancellation notification is received no later than 3 days prior to arrival. Shelter Reservations are non-refundable unless the area is closed by the Department, in this circumstance the Site Manager will contact you prior to your reservation date to cancel and issue your refund. A responsible adult (18 years of age or older) from the camping party must register for the party and thereby acknowledge compliance with the rules and regulations of the park for the party. Camping: For a campsite; a "Single Family" consists of either or both parents and unmarried children. Other family members will be considered as part of the family as long as they occupy the same shelter, but not to exceed a total of 4 adults (18 years of age or older). A "Single Group" consists of unrelated adults with or without children and can not exceed 4 occupants. A primitive cabin, Chief Tecumseh; is also available. The cabin is located on a slope overlooking Johnson Lake. This cabin is obtained through reservations only, www.reserveamerica.com . There is no cooking, pets or smoking in the cabin. Fire grill, table and BBQ grill are provided outside. A full size bed, two sets of bunk beds, table and benches are provided inside. The cabin has heat and a/c available with two ceiling fans. You must provide your own bedding. Cabin is available April - November. From May - October there is potable water within 100 yards of the cabin. Park quiet hours are from 10pm - 7am. Firewood Ban: It is illegal to bring or possess on IDNR properties any firewood from out-of-state or from a quarantine area or adjacent counties where wood exportation or movement has been prohibited by State or Federal Law.
